Amazing Diaper Deal!

I just got 156 Huggies Diapers for $3.50 + FREE 2-day shipping!!
How?

If you get the following two magazine subscriptions, you're in luck...( I have free yearly subscriptions to them right now)...

Look in your Aug 2010 and Sep 2010 Parents magazine and Aug 2010 Parenting magazine. In them you'll find one time codes you can use to get 20% off diapers + FREE 2-day shipping on Amazon.com. If you 'subscribe and save' you'll get an extra 30% off! These 20% off codes are stackable..so if you get a size 3 box like I did...you will pay $3.50 for 156 diapers! That's $0.022 per diaper! That's not 0.22 cents...but 0.02 cents! CRAZY!!

The thing about 'subscribe and save' is that they send you the same product automatically every so often...so you need to go back and change your preferences and cancel subscribe and save so you don't get the automatic shipments!

Thanks hip2save!

Click here for the link to the huggies diapers on Amazon.com

**Note: You can use these codes for Pampers diapers as well...

Bring It!

Today is day 2 of week 2 of P90X for me! I finally decided enough is enough! I was very intimidated because of everything I had heard about it, but I love it! Just when I start to feel like giving up or like it's 'too difficult' the host reasures you, and or you change what you're doing. The best part of it for me is that it is definitely not boring. I do something new and challenging every day. You can keep a record of what you do each day/week so next week you can strive to do better. The first DVD is Chest & Back which included a lot of push ups and pull ups...can you guess how many pull ups I can do? I'll give you a hint...It's less than 1! So my goal is to do at least 3 by the time all is said and done...it's 90 days...so I better do at least 3! The whole thing has been kicking my butt...but in a good way! I sweat so much, and feel like I get a great work out every time. Day 4 is Yoga X and I was so relieved because I thought I could take it easy...boy was I wrong! Now I know why it's called Yoga X and not just Yoga...it's eXtreme Yoga! It was great though!
My goal is to do the 90 days, and whatever weight I lose, I'll be happy with!

At last....

My quest for finding the 'perfect' mascara is over!!  Thanks to Bzz Agent, I have discovered that I actually DO have lashes, and most importantly, that I don't need to spend a lot of money to get a quality product!
Have you heard of Bzz Agent before?  It's a word of mouth company.  Once you join, you become an agent, and they send you  products to test out and review.  You can then 'buzz' about the product, sharing your honest opinion about it (good or bad).  With most of the products you buzz about you will receive either samples to share and/or coupons!  If  you love getting free stuff in the mail, you're going to LOVE Bzz Agent!

...on to my perfect mascara find...

I have tried everything from high end (Dior etc) to the least expensive brand imaginable, and everything in between!  I'm usually a loyal Lancome customer, so I was curious to see how this mascara would compare...What brand is it you ask?  It's Cover Girl!  It's a newer product that promises to give you both volume and length.  I agree that it does both. It's called LashBlast Fusion Mascara.  I feel seriously more confident when I feel like I actually have lashes.  The only downside to the mascara sample I got, is that it's not waterproof.  Cover Girl does make a 'water resistant' LashBlast mascara though.  Looks like the days of envying my 3 year old's lashes are over! Yay for me!

I was able to get some coupons for Cover Girl products (for doing this review) and would love to share them!  Next time you see me, ask me for a coupon!  I'll put them in my bag right now...

Now tell me....what are some of your favorite eye make up products?  I would have to say this is one of my new favorites!

Pampers Deal!

I'm super late in posting this.  I was checking out the deals on hip2save and found a killer deal on pampers diapers and wipes!  Go here for the rite aid deals and scroll down to the 'household' deals.

I went to my local rite aid and they were all out of the wipes :(  But I asked them to call the other rite aid and they had plenty!  I ended up getting the 3 tubs of wipes and 2 packs of diapers.  I paid a little over $11, got $5 back, and will be submitting online for the other $2 back!!
That's a little over $4 for all of that stuff!! (tax included)  I had a $3 off pampers diapers coupon I got from Vocalpoint, so I used that and a $2 off from the P&G insert.

Even if you don't have all the coupons, but you have the wipes coupon, you can get a tub of 72 wipes for $0.49 (plus tax)!!

Next week I'll be on the lookout for more diaper deals and will be sure to post anything I find earlier :)

You still have tomorrow to get this deal!

Let's get down to business!

My sister's wedding is just days away! (It's on the 22nd of May) YIKES!  To be honest, I haven't been making time to exercise since...hmm right around my birthday!  That's more than a month ago!  The kids were sick that weekend, and I was just so exhausted, plus we went out of town for a couple of days...
That's still no excuse!  I haven't been brave enough to get on the scale lately, but I'm pretty sure I haven't lost ANY weight.

My new goal is to lose my 20lbs of excess weight by the end of this summer...so much for wearing the heck out of my bridesmaid's dress!  Oh well, you lose some, you win some.  What have I learned?  I need to make my life more active w/ my kids, so that when we're doing our daily things, I'm also burning calories.  Now that the weather is looking to be a little warmer, I have plans to take them for walks/to the park daily, and we have been playing in the back yard as much as weather permits. I was getting so stressed out trying to fit in a workout session at the end of the day, that I ended up more exhausted and it just wasn't good for me.  I'm still strugling to find a time to work out by myself, because I'm so not a morning person, and by the end of the day I rather sit infront of the TV and 'relax' before going to bed!

So my point is, you do what you can, and at the end of the day, if you're happy, and your kids/husband are happy, it's OK to be just a few pounds over weight.  I wish I loved my new curves though...My baby's going to be 1 on the 8th, and I have yet to 'embrace' my curvy new me!  I definitely think it's worth it though.  I read an article in the May 2010 issue of Women's Health magazine, where they interview Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser /Celebrity Trainer)...it was a pretty good / uplifting interview, until she said  she would rather adopt children, and not get pregnant...because she said "...I can't handle doing that to my body" I guess she makes a living on being fit, but as a role model, to many, many women old and young, I wish she hadn't said that.  I would be over my 'optimum' weight 20 times over if it meant I would have the children I have!  My priorities are different than hers I guess.
I'm not making excuses for myself though, I still need to work on being more active on my day-to day activities, and I have hopes that since it's warmer out now, I'll be able to accomplish my goal!  Wish me luck!

Sweet Discovery! (A review and 24 hr-Giveaway)

As most of you know, I have two young children.  This past (hopefully it's past) winter has been especially bad for them as far as colds and runny noses go.  As a mom I try to make them as comfortable as possible.  I'm one of those people constantly trying to find better ways of doing things, especially for my kids, so these wipes were a sweet discovery!  My husband actually heard of them, and I was excited to give them a try...

 What are they?

As their site states "Boogie Wipes are made with saline to dissolve boogies (mucus) caused by the common cold, allergies or otherwise booger-filled kid moments. Extra soft, alcohol, phthalate and paraben free, Boogie Wipes are available in Great Grape, Fresh Scent, Magic Menthol and Simply Unscented. Recommended by pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue, look for Boogie Wipes at 40,000 Retail locations in the US & Canada Including; Walmart, Target, Sam's Club, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us."

These wipes are an innovative product created by two moms!...why didn't I think of this??  They have had so much success, and in my opinion, it is due to a GREAT product!

Boogie Wipes Not your Average Wipe with Added Chamomile Vitamin E and Aloe
They were kind enough to send me some wipes to try, and I LOVE THEM!  J has allergies, and between both kids, allergies and colds, we've been able to find plenty of 'booger-filled kid moments!'  I love these wipes because they really dissolve 'mucus' and make it so much easier to wipe their noses!  They soothe irritated little noses, which makes my job as a mom, just a little easier!  One of the best things about these wipes is that they have aloe and vitamin E added...so in my opinion, they're better than your average wipe!
I talked to one of my friends about these wipes, and she hadn't heard of them before...Like I said, my hubby was the one who had heard of them and suggested we give them a try.
I think I prefer the fresh scent best, it smells so clean!  They come in all sizes too, so you can pack some in your diaper bag without having to take the whole tub with you! :)

Now onto the giveaway...

Boogie wipes will send you 2 packages of wipes (30 count each), in your choice of scent...completely FREE.

All you have to do is:
1. Follow my blog (required)
2. Leave a comment on this post (required)

I will draw a name 24 HOURS from the time I post this, and I will contact and announce the winner tomorrow afternoon!  Make sure I have a way to contact you. (The winner will have 48 hours to contact me, if I can't get a hold of them).  Boogie wipes will send you their product after I give them your info.

**Go to their site, here and print a $1 off coupon!**

Sweeeeet!

I went to Kohl's in Clinton today b/c I had $10 in Kohl's cash that expire tomorrow...and I found a super sweet deal!  They had about 20 Leap Frog Fridge Recorders on clearance for $3.99!  That's a sweet deal considering they're originally priced at $19.99..but wait...I had a $5 off any Fridge Toys coupon found here (you have to register to get it).  I thought the cashier would have to adjust the price of the coupon so it would take 3.99 off...but it took $5 off!  I made $1 which went towards the other things I bought :).  You may want to call ahead to make sure they have them at your store...but what a steal!  It sure made me smile :)

And while I'm on the subject of good deals...if you have a Jamba Juice nearby, there's a coupon which I believe expires on the 25th of April for Buy 1, Get 1 Free.  We went today and almost every customer had one of these coupons(including us of course)...go here for the coupon.
